This After the Gym Oats and Bay Leaf Bath Soak was named for its wonderful relaxing and soothing properties perfect for winding down after exercise. Oats have a calming effect on your skin as they have anti-inflammatory properties, while bay leaves are said to soothe aching muscles and reduce inflammation. - 2 tbsp oats - 4 bay leaves (dried or fresh) - Muslin & string - 1 tbsp bicarbonate of soda
Make a small muslin bag with piece of muslin clothe (about 20x20cm in size) and string. Fill the bag with the oats and dried bay leaves.
Run a hot bath and hang the muslin bag under the taps while the water runs. If you cant tie the muslin under the taps, place it directly into the water.
Tip the bicarbonate of soda into the bath before you get in to soften the water. This step will also help to deodorize your skin. Lie back in the bath and relax fully.
It is recommended that you use this bath soak recipe no more than 1-2 times a week. Discard the oats and bay leaves after use. Wash and reuse the muslin cloth.
