Rosemary is a powerful herb that contains spicy essential oils and is said to boost the brain, provide mental clarity and give you the energy to take on any challenge. Rosemary helps to balance oily skin. This Rosemary Facial steam will kick start your day or help revive tired skin during the cold, dark winter months.
- Large handful of rosemary
- 500ml of boiled water
Wash the fresh herbs. Strip the rosemary leaves off their stalks. Chop the rosemary leaves finely to release the essential oils. Pour the boiling water over the rosemary to cover the herbs and fill the bowl. Allow the water to cool slightly for 2-3 minutes. Place your face over the bowl. Hang a clean towel over your head so that it covers you and the bowl. Dont let your face touch the water.
Make sure you find a comfortable place to sit while you use this facial steam. Relax, close your eyes and inhale the aromas for five minutes. Stop immediately if you feel dizzy or overheated.
It is recommended that you apply this facial steam no more than 1-2 times a week. This facial steam should be used immediately once water has been added. The fresh herbs can be stored for up to a week in the fridge.
